After being in the working environment and having observed how different businesses or companies choose their employees,it go me asking myself how i would do it.

I realized there are people who do not have formal education but their experiences speaks for them. As an aspiring business person i would hire people with formal education for the sensitive posts. However for other posts i would also consider someone who does a job well despite not having formal education.

What about you?

That is depending on the job that must be performed. If you look at the job ad, degree is a must even without experience for entry level positions.

For me education is not so important. It is more important for me that a worker is a person i can trust, with good habits and to know the job.

You're right that experience weighs more than a formal education. In fact, it is the main point to consider when an employer is hiring.

I have seen a lot of employers hiring people without education. But at the end, you need education to know what is good or bad.

@MM2020 i have also come to a conclusion that people who deserve a job even without formal education should be given a chance.

@Esmee but when it comes to those positions which are not sensitive i would go for those as well. Not to mention some people need to work to earn money for college so they deserve a chance

Formal education and experience should go hand in hand.Formal education equips one with lots of skills including managerial skills which someone with informal education doesn't possess.

@ruthmongare i agree they go in hand but there are times when people without formal education are so experience than those with formal education. They give better results and they are ofcourse smart street

@Kidame  true the thing is that some jobs need to be open for all because we are in 1919 level of recession where people used to literally sell everything in their house to survive.

I'm with you too. I'd give a chance to those who have the skills and experience as long as I see they can do the job but this also can depend on what career field. There are jobs that will value skills and experience over education and vice versa.

If I have my own company, I will go for the skills than their educational background. It's more practical to hire someone with experience already.

I can go for both educational background and soft skills @Kidame. For the reason that I am planning to have a consultancy firm in the future.

That's the simple truth, you fixed round pegs in round holes and square pegs in square holes , this way things will go on smoothly. Office Assistants, security guards, cleaners etc are not necessary for formal education before employed however, regular separate meeting with categories of your staff is necessary and opening up to them to give input as to how the can grow is very important , some people aren't educated but very intelligent and rational.

If my Company does not have set rules about employing only  those with degrees I will not hesitate.  What one learns in portals of schools is only academic.

Depending on the position i offer.

But in certain condition, experience is more important than education

Education is important for a good job. But if a person is less educated and the experience is very good and that person is talented then I think that person should definitely get a job.

I would if I need programer. For programing jobs it is more important have good CV and many projects behind you than formal educations.

It depends on the kind of job. Some college graduates are slow to pick up the instructions while the undergraduates are quicker.
