There is a saying that I remember from the late Tom Landry who was the head coach of the Dallas Cowboys from 1960-1988 which was something like "Don't worry about things you cannot control."

It is good advice that I have learned to take since recently I had to face the challenge of going to a local hospital in Lake Charles to have a lung examination to see if my breathing problems that happened when the Coronavirus struck the area in mid March.

Since a lot of hospitals were closed with the exception of emergencies that need to be dealt with, I could see my regular doctor until May of this year.

When my doctor sent a reference to have a lung exam at a local hospital in June, the reply from the hospital to see me for a lung exam did not materialize in June as scheduled.

Then out of the blue, a nurse at another local in Lake Charles called me in mid July to make an appointment to have my ling exam which I took on Monday.

The results of the lung exam will be known in one week to determine if I have a lung related illness even though I do not smoke any cigarettes in my lifetime.

If I have learned anything about living during a rough time, it is to be patient when dealing with doctor appointments during this pandemic and do not worry about things I cannot control in life.image

That is true. Like the weather which we cannot control so why worry if it rains too hard and if it snows so much. Take life in stride like you are coping all the time.

We have our ways to have inner peace. I am sure that you found your way to achieve this. For me, I am still struggling but I can find my way.

Yeah it is nice advice. If we stop worrying about the things we can't control our life automatically changed to good.

Yes! I agree with your concluding lines that we should not worry about the things which are not under our control! Instead keeping positive and praying the Almighty will keep our mind peaceful!

You have a good point about not worrying since God is in control of His world.

This protracted delay confirmed one thing and that is you do not have Corona.  If there was you would not have survived with no care given to you.

That is true since my main problem was the lack of breathing when I lifted heavy objects due to the cold I was going through at the time.

That is true. Why put undue stress and anxiety on yourself by worrying on things you cannot change. Look at the things that you can do something about that would give you a feeling of sense of control.
