This is concluding series on how I brought my wife home.
We became fast friend and I felt something that I couldn't explain. I couldn't sleep and I wanted that it's always a class days.
"Am I in love? Do I need to express this?"
It's good we didn't have class in the first period in the morning. We sat together at the concrete flagpole area. Then I opened to her that I knew a girl but I'm afraid to express my feeling to her.
"Wouldn't you help me?"
"Who is this girl? Maybe I help you."
My heart beats faster. I was about to tell her when the bell rang for the second period.
Again we dispersed and proceeded to our respective classes.
It was the last period in the afternoon. I fetched her from her classroom. I wanted to bring her to the bus terminal where she took a bus in going home. But before that we stopped momentarily at the concrete bench under the Mabolo tree. We rested for awhile while I held her hand and said to her, "I love you." Without so much ado she replied, "I love you too."
From that moment we're no longer friends but lovers. We're engaged for 2 years and then married.
Now my high school sweetheart is my wife. We have been married for 48 years now.
