There is a case recently of an elderly with disability left by her nephew unattended.

She was abandoned in a bridge after her nephew, 51 years old failed to secure a religious center to take care of her.

The nephew was arrested and her aunt was rescued and taken care by the Manila Department of Social Welfare.

I come to hear about such inhumane and pathetic stories more now a days! I think because of the greed and the many people are forgetting basic humanity and sense of care! They are forgetting that tomorrow they are also going to get old and they can get similar treatment from their children or junior members of the family!

That's a very sad news .

I would never do such a thing . I am not a person like that .

No! That’s a shameful, inhuman act. For whatever reason there is, abandoning someone like trash on the streets is totally unethical.

I don't think I have the heart to abandon an old relative. My parents have taken care of my mother's uncle and cousins.

That used to be the accepted way, once you reached a certain point the tribe would just leave you behind when they moved.
